Technology K.A.R has designed and installed the dedicated dark fiber infrastructure for media transport, including various venues and locations. All video signals are converted to an optical signal and made available to any destination through the Master Control Room, such as plenaries, press conference, media press center, meeting rooms, OBVans, International broadcasters TV sets, and reporters stand up positions.

Technology K.A.R was also responsible for the design and installation of the Master Control Room in supervising the MCR operation during the event. The MCR was the heart of COP27 central operation of audio, video monitoring and control signal routing.

The MCR recording and streaming system was designed to record and stream meetings and sessions up to 40 concurrent events and stream each with up to 7 different languages to multi destinations such as YouTube and mainly UN digital platform backend.

Technology KAR was also responsible for providing the TV broadcast cameras and

OBVan’s, connectivity and infrastructure at COP27 different locations at main planerites, press conference and action rooms.

One of the challenging services requested was to connect remote TV cameras to OB vans located hundreds, to thousands of meters from camera positions. Direct connection cables were not possible. Technology K.A.R design and integrated equipment between dark fiber media network and TV broadcast infrastructure.

Another important part of Technology K.A.R scope was the professional lighting for TV broadcasting areas. This includes design, supply, and installation for rigging system, lighting fixtures, and control system.
